POLICIES / PRIVACY

Effective Date: 01/16/26

Finest Emergency Lighting LLC (“FEL,” “we,” “us”) is committed to a safe, secure shopping experience and transparent business practices. This page contains: (1) policies for online store purchases, (2) policies for service/installation transactions billed by invoice/contract, and (3) our Privacy Policy.

  1. WHAT RULES APPLY TO YOUR PURCHASE

A) Online Store Purchases (Website Checkout)
These policies apply when you purchase through our website checkout (and most phone orders for shipped goods only). Funds are captured at checkout through our payment providers.

B) Service / Installation / Fleet Build Transactions (Invoice + Contract)
If you receive an estimate/quote for services and/or sign a Customer Contract/Service Agreement or approve an invoice/quote for installation work, those documents control your transaction. If any website policy is interpreted as inconsistent with the signed agreement, the signed agreement and invoice terms govern.

  1. ONLINE STORE POLICIES (WEBSITE CHECKOUT)

Order Review and Special-Order Lead Times
You are responsible for reviewing each item, options, add-ons, and compatibility prior to purchase.
Some items are not stocked and require manufacturer lead time, drop-ship fulfillment, or production time (“Special Order” / “Made-to-Order”). Lead times shown are estimates and may change due to manufacturer or carrier delays.

Shipping
Shipping times shown at checkout are estimates and begin once an item ships.
Certain items may ship separately or ship later if your order contains made-to-order items.

Returns, Cancellations, and Restocking (Online Store)
Returns/cancellations for reasons other than a verified defect/warranty issue may be subject to a 25% restocking fee, and an additional fee may apply if original packaging is not provided (up to 10% of item price).
No refunds for Final Sale, Clearance, As-Is / Used, Custom Order, Built-to-Order, or items clearly designated as such at checkout.
Items in production/processing may require restocking/cancellation fees even if not shipped yet.
Returns must be approved and require an RMA before sending anything back.

Warranty Handling (Online Store)
Warranty details are provided in the product description and/or on our Warranty page. It is the customer’s responsibility to read and understand warranty details before purchase.

  1. SERVICE / INSTALLATION / INVOICE POLICIES (CONTRACT-ALIGNED)

Deposits, Special Order Items, and No Refunds (Services/Installations)
A deposit may be required before scheduling work or ordering equipment. All deposits are non-refundable.
Once equipment or materials are ordered, invoiced, or paid for (in whole or in part), those items are deemed special order and non-refundable. The customer remains responsible for the full cost of equipment/materials regardless of whether the installation is completed, canceled, or rescheduled.
If requested, FEL may arrange for the customer to take possession of ordered equipment after full payment is received.

Scheduling, Rescheduling, and Delays
Installation dates and estimated duration are typically listed on the invoice/quote; all timeframes are estimates.
Customer cancellations, no-shows, failure to deliver the vehicle as scheduled, or other customer-caused delays may result in additional fees and/or forfeiture of deposits.
Manufacturer delays, shipping delays, market conditions, and price increases may impact timelines. Quotes/open contracts not paid within stated terms may be subject to reasonable price adjustments.

Payment Terms and Late Fees (Invoices)
Unless otherwise stated in writing, invoices are due within fifteen (15) days of the invoice date (“Due Date”).
Past-due balances accrue interest at the lesser of 1.5% per month (18% per year) or the maximum rate permitted by law, plus FEL may charge a $25 late fee for every fifteen (15) days a balance remains unpaid after the Due Date.
Buyer agrees to pay NSF/returned-payment fees; FEL may charge up to a 3% credit card processing fee and a $25 wire transfer fee where applicable.

Vehicle Pickup and Storage
If a customer does not retrieve a vehicle within 48 hours of completion, FEL reserves the right to charge storage of no less than $45/day.

Completion, Inspection, and Acceptance
Upon completion/delivery notice, the customer must promptly inspect the vehicle. Removal/use of the vehicle after completion constitutes final acceptance of the work (subject only to written warranty terms).
Once the vehicle leaves FEL’s custody/control, the customer assumes risk of loss/theft/damage and FEL is released from responsibility for condition/custody/storage/use/transportation (except as covered by any written warranty).

Warranty (Services/Installations)
FEL warrants only products purchased from FEL as new, and only within the manufacturer/vendor warranty window.
Workmanship coverage for installed products/wiring/electrical circuitry listed on an invoice/contract may be covered up to six (6) months unless otherwise noted, subject to conditions and exclusions.
No warranty/responsibility for customer-provided items; diagnostic/inspection time related to warranty claims may be billable whether founded or unfounded.

Customer Responsibility and Legal Compliance
Customers are responsible for compliance with all local/state/federal laws and safe operation/use of vehicles and equipment. FEL is not responsible for misuse or illegal use of equipment.

Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, customers agree to indemnify/defend/hold harmless FEL for claims arising out of vehicle condition/use/operation/custody/transport after it leaves FEL’s custody, except to the extent finally determined to be caused by FEL’s gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Electronic Records / No Oral Modifications
Faxed/electronic documents and digital signatures are legally binding. Oral agreements are not binding.
